How TO BE SAVED

Congratulations on making the best decision of your life!

It’s not an accident that you are here! God loves you and has a plan for you through His Son, Jesus Christ. Surrendering your life to Christ means acknowledging your need for a Savior, believing that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, and committing your life to Him.

Salvation comes by faith, not by your own works. Below, I'll outline the steps that will help you take this life-changing decision. You can do this right now, wherever you are.

Step 1: Recognize Your Need for God

Everyone has fallen short of God's perfect standard—this is what the Bible calls "sin." The word “sin” literally means “to miss the mark.” Sin separates us from God, but God made a way through His Son, Jesus, to bridge the gap.

  • Scripture: "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God," (Romans 3:23, NKJV)

  • Scripture: "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." (Romans 6:23, NKJV)

Take a moment to reflect: Admit to yourself and God that you've sinned in your life and ask for His forgiveness.

Step 2: Believe in Jesus Christ

Jesus Christ, God's Son, lived a perfect life, died on the cross to pay for our sins, and rose again to conquer death.

  • Scripture: "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." (John 3:16, NKJV)

  • Scripture: "But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us." (Romans 5:8, NKJV)

Simply believe in your heart that Jesus is who He says He is—your God, Lord, and Savior.

Step 3: Confess and Commit

Speak out your faith: Verbally tell God you're turning from your old ways (repentance) and inviting Jesus to be Lord of your life.

  • Scripture: "If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." (Romans 10:9-10, NKJV)

Pray a simple prayer like this (use your own words if you prefer—God hears your heart):

"Dear God, I know that I've sinned and need Your forgiveness. I believe Jesus Christ died for my sins and rose again. I turn from my old life and invite You to be the Lord of my life. Thank You for saving me. Help me follow You every day. In Jesus' name, Amen."

Step 4: Live It Out

Salvation is just the beginning! Now, grow in your faith by reading the Bible, praying daily, and connecting with other believers. Find a local church where you can be discipled and get support. You can locate a Bible believing church near you by clicking HERE.
